Founder and Creative Director

Taylor Spellman moved to New York City to study with the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. At age 23, her entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and she parlayed her love of the arts into founding her own interior design firm. Spellman took the inspiring words of her first business mentor, “You are borderline insubordinate,” and ran with it.  Thankfully, her irreverent approach to business, design and, ultimately life has served her well in the ruthless world of New York City real estate.  Spellman’s unapologetic nature combined with a wicked sense of humor has put her at the forefront of not only the design world but has allowed her to keep up with the colorful and inappropriate mouths of brokers and developers alike.  Spellman’s designs have secured her an impressive clientele that ranges from the Wall Street set to artists in the East Village to families on the Upper West Side. On a typical day, Spellman has over fifty million dollars worth of real estate under her direction.  Her bold and eclectic style has been featured in The Real Deal, Architectural Digest, The New York Times, E! News, Elle Décor and People Magazine.
